Laura’s 25 Days
This child is amazing. She (with her mother) have launched a blog about Laura’s project. She calls it “Twenty-Five Days To Make A Difference” and it’s so sweet. She has chosen to do her twenty five days in the month of December in honor of her late Grandfather and the giving behavior she learned from him. So far she has shoveled her neighbor’s sidewalks, recycled soda cans for money that she donated to Suneel’s Light.
Within 24 hours of launching her blog, Laura had over 1000 hits becoming one of WordPress’ fastest growing blogs. What this says is that while she simply wanted to find things to do that made a difference in whatever way (small or large) that she could, she’s actually launched a wonderful idea that is rapidly gaining support online.
Laura has issued a challenge to everyone out there.
I hope that this inspires other grown ups and kids to make a difference in their communities too, by doing little things. For this reason, I am challenging everyone who reads this blog to TRY to do something every single day during the holiday season to make a difference in his or her world. Leave a comment or send me an email at twentyfivedays(at)gmail(dot)com and let me know what you did and when you did it. Even if you can’t do something every day, you can do one small thing to help make your world a better place.
THE PERSON WHO MAKES THE MOST DIFFERENCE IN DECEMBER WILL WIN A $25.00 DONATION FROM ME TO THE CHARITY OF YOUR OWN CHOOSING.
Now, my post won’t go live before December 3rd, so even though anyone reading this will not have the full 25 days, it doesn’t mean you can’t participate. Just get started doing something to make a difference in your community. What a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season.
Laura is hosting a badge contest. The winner will receive a $25 dollar donation to the charity of their choice.
Way to go Laura! You are an inspiration. I’m so glad that you’ve shared your project with us all. I look forward to seeing what else you do to make a difference the rest of the month. This is an amazing tribute to your grandfather and a great way to give to others.
